Bicycle Lab is based in Carrboro, North Carolina. Carrboro is located in the Triangle region that includes Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. We specialize in helping people become better athletes and cyclists through bicycle fit, proper technique, and learning about your equipment. We have clients that come from all over the Eastern and Southeastern United States – and work virtually with athletes all over the world.
Victor Jimenez is the driving force behind Bicycle Lab and a recognized bicycle fitting and cycling expert. He is co-host of one of the most popular cycling podcasts in itunes (Cycling360) that is listened to by over forty thousand athletes around the world every month. Victor is also the creator of the cyclists education site called The Fluent Cyclist where he taught road cyclists and triathletes about their machines and how to become better athletes.
After years as a triathlete and fitness testing specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine, Victor began to apply his ideas to “bicycle fit” – fitting a bicycle to the rider’s body, riding style and use. Victor studied bike fitting in the mid eighties with “The Fit Kit” founder, as well as some of the most respected builders in the country. Over the years Victor became a frame builder, master mechanic, and teacher of all things related to cycling.
Twenty-plus years ago Victor founded a high-end retail bicycle store to supply custom-fit bicycles to triathletes and road racers, and has also been an importer and distributor of bicycles.
He has taught clinics to enthusiasts, coaches and teams. Topics covered have included bicycle fit, bicycle repair and frame selection, and riding skills.
Victor is a presenter for USA triathlon coaching certification. He works with many coaches and athletes to improve their technical skills.
