This is the first in a series of interviews with athletes and experts that are vaguely related to cycling. The aim of these interviews is to give you some motivation and to help you learn more about the sport of cycling and triathlon.
If you have an interesting story or know of someone that you would like to hear an interviewed please let me know. I am looking for bicycle industry experts, professional and ordinary athletes. Send an email to victor@bicyclelab.com
Sallie has a great story. She is a scientist turned ultra runner, turned cyclist.
She has a very gentle demeanor but is an extremely tough competitor. Listen to the interview and notice her attitude and how she approaches incredible physical challenges.
We talk about running in lava fields, on the great wall of China, and even in Africa.
Think your too old to get off the couch? Listen to this interview and rethink what you can do.
Please leave a comment and feedback.

What a great interview! I loved Sallie’s points about how newer athletes can feel defeated when they start out too hard with their training, breaking her marathon down into 5k’s and keeping her focus in the moment, and to stop thinking about what you want to do and start doing it!

@feedtheathlete Thanks Carrie! Sallie is amazing. How she breaks down what seems like an unattainable task into manageable chunks.
